Broncos Fans Petitioning To Remove Phil Simms From Denver Broadcasts

Phil SimmsFormer New York Giants quarterback Phil Simms had his way with the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XXI many moons ago.

Apparently Broncos fans are still not over the pain, because 17,000 of them have signed a petition with hopes that the CBS broadcaster will never call another Denver game again.

The reason Broncos say they’re calling for Simms’ departure isn’t his on-field prowess against their hometown team, though. They think he’s biased against their team in his broadcasts with Jim Nantz.

This is what the petition states:

“We do not know why he is assigned to the Broncos games every year. It is sure and complete torture for Bronco Fans to have to listen to his biased drivel every week. Please hear us out on this, we are tired of Phil Simms in Denver!”

Broncos fans must think Simms is one of the most dubious broadcasters ever. Not only did he obliterate their team in a Super Bowl, he also tears them apart on national television.

According to Broncos fan rationale, Russell Wilson will start spitting “biased drivel” against the Broncos a couple decades from now in live broadcasts.
