Calgary Flames prospect Johnny Gaudreau was the victim of an ugly hit in an exhibition game against the Vancouver Canucks on Monday.

The promising Boston College product was blindsided by an elbow from Canucks defenseman Frank Corrado. Corrado received a major penalty for the cheap shot and was ejected from the contest.

Luckily, the Flames seem to have avoided a bullet as the exciting 21-year-old scorer appears to be uninjured following the incident.
