FOXBORO, Mass. — Think the New England Patriots were fired up for Sunday night’s game?
The Patriots played like they were shot out of a cannon during the first quarter against the Cincinnati Bengals, scoring on each of their first two possessions to take an early 14-0 lead.
The second of those touchdowns came on a 17-yard pass from Tom Brady to Tim Wright, and the quarterback decided to get a little creative with his celebration.
Brady had a reason to be pumped up. Not only did he lead his team to pay dirt on that drive, but he also became just the sixth NFL quarterback ever to reach the 50,000-passing yard plateau for his career.
