Vladimir Tarasenko is unstoppable right now.

The St. Louis Blues winger entered Monday night’s game against the New York Rangers with five goals scored in his last three games. He added another tally Monday night with a highlight-reel move to beat Rangers goaltender Cam Talbot on the power play.

Tarasenko received a pass in the neutral zone, raced past one opponent, then split two more defenders before using a one-handed deke to score on Talbot. It was a move typically seen in shootouts and penalty shots, not real game action.

After watching this play, it’s easy to understand why some people believe Tarasenko has the potential to someday be a 40-goal scorer at the NHL level.
