Denver Broncos tight end Julius Thomas was active for Sunday’s game against the Buffalo Bills but didn’t play a single snap, causing many fantasy owners grief the week before the fantasy football playoffs.

Apparently Adam Wainwright was one of those owners.

The St. Louis Cardinals pitcher explained in a video Monday that he was incredulous at first. How could Thomas be active and not play the week before the playoffs? Didn’t he know what was on the line for fantasy owners?

Then Wainwright realized something: He did the exact same thing to fantasy baseball owners this season.

So, if you owned Wainwright this season and he ruined your playoff hopes, please accept his sincere apology.
