Toothless Tiger might be even more wary of cameras in the future.

Tiger Woods made a surprise trip overseas to surprise girlfriend Lindsey Vonn on Monday, watching her win her record 63rd World Cup race, but something was a little off with his appearance. Because the Internet is the Internet, many were all too quick to notice the golfer seemed to be missing a tooth on the slopes in Italy.

The mystery of the day since has been solved, as Tiger’s agent explained a camera was to blame for the dental problem.

“During a crush of photographers as the awards podium at the World Cup event in Italy, a media member with a shoulder-mounted video camera pushed and surged toward the stage, turned and hit Tiger Woods in the mouth,” Mark Steinberg said in an email, per The Associated Press. “Woods’ tooth was knocked out by the incident.”

So, this won’t do anything to help Woods’ disdain for cameras.

Steinberg added he’s unsure when Woods, who returns to competition next week in the Phoenix Open, will have the tooth replaced.
