Paul Revere’s famous ride is on clear display in Boston along the Freedom Trail. Organizers are hoping an Olympic torch relay will eventually join that route among the city’s famed journeys.

The Boston 2024 Executive Committee — who hopes to bring the Summer Olympics to the Hub — recently unveiled its logo for the bid.

The logo is described as a beacon, and a video featuring the beacon was recently released, channeling the city’s storied past along with celebrating the rich athletic history.

Boston won the United States Olympic Committee’s bid for the ’24 Summer Games and must now wait until 2017 for the final ruling from the International Olympic Committee as to whether the city will be chosen as host.

That’s when the Boston committee hopes they’ll be able to proclaim “The Olympics are coming.”
