The New England Patriots won Super Bowl XLIX, thanks to Tom Brady.
Brady engineered another game-winning fourth-quarter drive to deliver a fourth championship to Foxboro. This time, he found Julian Edelman, who finished with nine receptions for 109 yards, for a 3-yard touchdown pass with 2:02 remaining to give the Patriots a 28-24 win over the Seattle Seahawks.
The Patriots’ defense almost gave up the go-ahead score on the ensuing Seahawks drive, but Malcolm Butler’s interception at the goal line sealed the win.
