Washington Nationals outfielder Bryce HarperThe 2015 Major League Baseball season is inching closer. It’s time to lock in those predictions.

The 2014 season featured several intriguing races, both from a playoff standpoint and with regard to individual awards. There were some surprises, but there also were reminders of how great certain players have become.

Clayton Kershaw (National League Cy Young and MVP) and Mike Trout (American League MVP), for example, further solidified themselves as the game’s best pitcher and best hitter, respectively. Corey Kluber of the Cleveland Indians, on the other hand, came out of nowhere en route to winning the AL Cy Young Award.

Will we witness a similar scenario this season, with certain players flexing their muscles while other newcomers emerge and grab some of the spotlight? It’s possible, but then again, you never know what’s going to happen until the games start counting for real.

Opening Day is less than one week away. Let’s try to predict who will win each league’s MVP, Cy Young, Rookie of the Year, Comeback Player of the Year and Manager of the Year awards in 2015.
