MLB: Boston Red Sox at Philadelphia PhilliesOne of the best parts about baseball is that not every player looks the same.

There’s not exactly a prototype for how a player is supposed to look. Sure, it doesn’t hurt to be built like Mike Trout or Giancarlo Stanton, but then there’s also guys like Pablo Sandoval or Prince Fielder who have performed at the highest level despite not looking like American Gladiators.

You also don’t have to be big, tall and strong to make an impact on the game of baseball. Just take Boston Red Sox center fielder Mookie Betts, for example. Betts put on a show Monday during the club’s home opener by robbing a home run, stealing two bases on one play and then hitting a three-run home run of his own — all in the first three innings of the game.

If Betts keeps it up, he’ll join a long list of MLB players who have been able to play much bigger than their size.
