This is the year of Stephen Curry.

The Golden State Warriors guard has come into his own as one of the NBA’s elite players and is making a strong push for the MVP award. On Tuesday in Los Angeles, he furthered his case by embarrassing one of the league’s top point guards.

Curry’s tour de force continued with his latest victim being Los Angeles Clippers guard Chris Paul. Late in the second quarter, Curry dribbled through traffic along the baseline with Paul trying to keep up. That’s when Curry unleashed a vicious crossover that left Paul falling over as Curry nailed the jumper.

The reaction from the Warriors’ bench alone probably is worth watching that video a few more times.

As you might expect, the Internet quickly sprung to action, and the memes started pouring in. Perhaps none were better than this one inspired by the game of Twister.

This isn’t the first time Curry’s gotten the better of Paul, either. Curry faked him out of his shoes before hitting a mid-range jumper in early March, too.

As for the final outcome Tuesday, well, Curry got the better end of that, too. The Warriors were able to come from behind and win their 10th consecutive game. They are now an astounding 48 games over .500 on the season.
