It’s not easy to win in the NFL, and not many people know that better than Bill Belichick, despite all of the success he’s had in his career.

While the New England Patriots’ win Sunday over the Washington Redskins might have looked sloppier than we’ve come to expect, the head coach still had plenty of praise for his team.

After all, the Patriots are battling a growing list of injuries and entering the teeth of their schedule.

“That’s the way to grind it out, you’ve gotta do that sometimes. Good job,” Belichick told his team in a postgame speech that could be seen on the team’s official website. “We had a lot of guys step up today, a lot of guys step up and take some spots when we needed them. That’s everybody being ready to go and playing as a team. We talked about that in the meeting room all week. Everybody being ready to step up and take care of their responsibility, wherever or whenever it’s needed. That’s a damn good job as a team.”

Then, in typical Belichick fashion, he turned his attention to Week 10, when his team will face the New York Giants.
