Boston Red Sox designated hitter David OrtizDavid Ortiz will enter the 2015 season with 503 career home runs. He’s got one more season to add to that incredible number.

The Boston Red Sox designated hitter will retire following the 2016 season, meaning one of the best careers in Red Sox history will be coming to an end.

Before Ortiz walks away, he’ll get one more chance to not only win a fourth World Series ring but also to set at least one more record. Ortiz is just 19 home runs away from breaking the all-time record for home runs by a designated hitter, which would be a fitting achievement for the player many see as the greatest DH of all time.

It also would be fitting, given how many big home runs Ortiz has hit during the course of his legendary career. Big Papi always had a flare for the dramatic, whether it was in the regular season or the playoffs. Some of his round-trippers are considered not only among the most iconic in Red Sox history but in all of baseball history.

Here’s a look at some of his best.
