FOXBORO, Mass. — The New England Patriots’ All-Pro tight end was conspicuously absent from practice Tuesday.

Rob Gronkowski wasn’t spotted during the portion of practice open to the media. Gronkowski was seen at practice Monday. The Patriots won’t release an injury report until Wednesday, so if Gronkowski has an ailment, it won’t be known until then.

Safety Nate Ebner (arm) returned to practice after missing Monday’s session.

Wide receiver J.J. Worton and safety Cedric Thompson, both of whom signed to the Patriots’ practice squad Tuesday, practiced. Practice squad wide receiver DeAndre Carter wasn’t spotted, so it appears he was cut to make room for Worton and Thompson. The Patriots previously had a spot open on their practice squad.

The Patriots were in full pads Tuesday. They take on the Kansas City Chiefs at 4:25 p.m. ET Saturday.
