Yoenis Cespedes reportedly is staying in New York.

The coveted free agent outfielder has agreed to a three-year deal to stay with the New York Mets, sources told MLB Network’s Jon Heyman. Cespedes will earn $75 million over the three years, and the contract contains a no-trade clause, sources told FOX Sports’ Ken Rosenthal. Cespedes can opt out after one year and he would make $27.5 million for that one season, according to Heyman.

Cespedes reportedly had interest from other teams, including the Washington Nationals.

The left fielder played a key role for the Mets in their trip to the 2015 World Series. He hit 17 home runs in 57 regular season games after the Detroit Tigers traded him to the Mets on July 31. Cespedes, 26, has played for four different teams during his four-year career and he was an All-Star in 2014.
