Apparently, putting together an amazing NFL career, partying hard and helping the community wasn’t enough. Gronk has a new endeavor.

The Nickelodeon network plans to introduce a new TV series featuring Rob Gronkowski, according to The Associated Press. The New England Patriots tight end will host a show called “Crashletes,” which will feature popular clips of sports action.

Nickelodeon also announced plans to roll out a new series called “All In,” which will be hosted by Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton. The reigning NFL MVP will take kids on dream-fulfilling journeys.

The new programming is part of Nickelodeon’s attempt to broaden its mix of offerings as it deals with increased competition and changes in how children watch TV programs. The network’s average viewership was nearly 2.5 million people in early 2011, according to The AP, and that number was cut almost in half to 1.3 million last year.

As Patriots fans can attest, Gronkowski is a rather entertaining guy, whether it’s on the gridiron with his incredible football prowess or off the field, where he’s been known to let his hair down.

That should bode well for Nickelodeon, so long as Gronk keeps it PG.
