Mike Tomlin Has Had Enough Of DeAngelo Williams’ Combative Twitter Session

Not everyone is a fan of DeAngelo Williams’ latest Twitter interactions.

The Pittsburgh Steelers running back made news Monday by making a salient point about retiring legend Peyton Manning. Williams was sure to give Manning his props, but the running back also went out of his way to remind everyone how poorly Manning played in his final season.

That take led Williams down the Twitter rabbit hole. He spent roughly an hour after that initial tweet taking on tweets from every direction, shooting off some zingers and, honestly, making some pretty good points.

Williams’ impromptu interaction wasn’t done Monday, though. He picked up where he left off again on Tuesday, taking on all comers.

And on and on.

Finally, Steelers coach Mike Tomlin decided to step in and try to put an end to things. Naturally, he did so with his own tweet.

Short and simple. And we’re guessing it probably sent the message, as Williams has gone silent on the old tweet machine.
