Zenit St. Petersburg would become the first Russian club since 2010 to make the quarterfinal of the UEFA Champions League if it’s able to overturn a 2-0 first-leg deficit Wednesday against Benfica.
Benfica was the better side in the first leg, and the Portuguese club will be confident in its chances of progressing. Benfica hasn’t made the quarterfinals since 2011-12, when it was eliminated by Premier League club Chelsea.
