Carlos Gomez Tries To Fix Outfield Wall With Karate Kick, Fails Miserably

Carlos Gomez is a pretty good baseball player. He’s not, however, a very good grounds crew member — or ninja.

The center fielder found himself in the middle of an odd situation Tuesday night as his Astros hosted the Kansas City Royals at Minute Maid Park in Houston.

One batter into the game, an issue with the outfield fence arose. The door to the Kansas City bullpen basically started falling apart.

Gomez tried to take matters into his own hand. He hustled over to the wall and tried to fix things, with the key word being “tried.”

His preferred method of wall fixing? The karate kick. The results were predictable.
