Liverpool and Dortmund fans sing “You’ll Never Walk Alone” all the time, but their most recent rendition was unforgettable.
Fans of the two European soccer clubs sang their shared anthem in unison Thursday at Signal Iduna Park in Dortmund, Germany. They belted out the moving rendition just before the first leg of their UEFA Europa League quarterfinal series kicked off.

The occasion always was going to be emotional, with Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp returning to face the club he coached for seven mostly glorious seasons. The supporters delivered, moving one Dortmund fan to tears.

We’re certain he wasn’t alone among the 65,000-strong crowd.
The teams battled to a 1-1 draw and will play the second leg on April 14 at Anfield. Expect another, perhaps more moving, version of the classic soccer anthem.
