Mike Tyson made the trip.

Tyson almost didn’t attend Muhammad Ali’s funeral Friday because he was so upset over the boxing legend’s death, according to Ali family spokesman Bob Gunnell, per FOXSports.com.

But Iron Mike pulled it together at the last minute Thursday night and took a red-eye flight from Las Vegas to Louisville, where he joined the list of pallbearers that includes actor Will Smith and former undisputed world heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis in addition to members of Ali’s family.

Ali, who’s considered by many to be the greatest boxer of all time, died last Saturday at age 74. Tyson, an all-time great boxer in his own right, developed a close relationship with Ali over the years.

A procession was scheduled to take Ali’s body through Louisville on Friday. The services were scheduled to culminate with a memorial service at the KFC Yum! Center in downtown Louisville.
