Gone are the days when Rajon Rondo was considered a max-contract player, but he reportedly still is receiving a nice slice of the free-agency-money pie.
The mercurial point guard told ESPN’s Marc J. Spears on Sunday that he agreed to a two-year, $28 million contract with the Chicago Bulls.
This is an interesting move for the Bulls, who were in need of a point guard after trading Derrick Rose to the New York Knicks. But how the polarizing Rondo fits into Chicago’s locker room remains to be seen.
The former Boston Celtics star played in 72 games for the Sacramento Kings in 2015, averaging 11.9 points and a league-leading 11.7 assists per contest.
