FOXBORO, Mass. — The preseason hasn’t even begun, but Tom Brady is already 2 and 0 this summer.

Brady’s team beat Jimmy Garoppolo’s in a scrimmage Sunday at New England Patriots training camp. Brady’s team also emerged victorious in the Patriots’ full-team scrimmage Friday.

Brady wasn’t quite as efficient Sunday in Day 9 of training camp, however, completing just 13 of 24 passes with a touchdown and interception. He went 25 of 25 on Friday. Brady didn’t exactly have his full arsenal of weapons, however. His best receivers were Chris Harper, DeAndre Carter, Devin Lucien, tight end A.J. Derby and running backs Tyler Gaffney and Brandon Bolden, while Garoppolo had Rob Gronkowski, Martellus Bennett, Aaron Dobson, LeGarrette Blount, James White, Malcolm Mitchell and James Develin.

Garoppolo also had most of the starting offensive line on his side, with Nate Solder at left tackle, Joe Thuney at left guard, David Andrews at center, Shaq Mason and Ted Karras splitting time at right guard and Marcus Cannon at right tackle. Brady’s only starting-caliber offensive lineman was Josh Kline at center. Most of the starting defense was on Brady’s Team Blue.

Here are more notes from the scrimmage:

— Garoppolo went 15 of 24 with a touchdown pass to Martellus Bennett. Garoppolo began the scrimmage 0 for 5 before finishing it out 15 of 19. Bennett has been very impressive in both scrimmages.

— Jacoby Brissett briefly filled in for Brady and went 1 of 2. Brady worked off the side with wide receiver Julian Edelman at that time.

— The Patriots worked heavily on handoffs during the scrimmage. Running back Tyler Gaffney received 17 handoffs on Brady’s team. He began to pick up chunks of yardage by the end of the scrimmage. Blount had a couple nice carries during the scrimmage, as well.

— Safety Cedric Thompson picked off Brady on an errant pass to Derby.

— Safety Devin McCourty, linebackers Kamu Grugier-Hill and Jamie Collins and cornerbacks Logan Ryan and Jonathan Jones recorded pass breakups.

— Shea McClellin, Markus Kuhn, Rob Ninkovich, Jabaal Sheard and Ramon Humber all provided pressure.

— Brady practiced two QB sneaks and took off scrambling at one point. He spiked the football after the scramble, eliciting a big cheer from the crowd.

— Brady threw his TD pass to Carter at the very end of the scrimmage. He then converted the two-point conversion to Derby to win by one point. Garoppolo’s team didn’t think Derby got into the end zone on the two-point attempt.

— Edelman and tight end Clay Harbor both came off the physically unable to perform list, but neither player entered Sunday’s scrimmage.
