USA Men’s Olympic Basketball Team To Play Argentina In Olympics Quarterfinals

The United States men’s Olympic basketball team will begin the knockout stage at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro on Wednesday.

USA’s opponent in the quarterfinals is Argentina. The game is scheduled for 5:45 p.m. ET.

The U.S. went undefeated in its five Group A games but narrowly escaped defeat against Serbia (94-91) and France (100-97). Argentina went 3-2 in Group B, with losses to Lithuania and Spain.

Team USA last played Argentina in the semifinal round of the 2012 Olympics in London. The Americans won 109-83 en route to the gold medal.
