Week 7 of the NFL season wasn’t particularly good from an entertainment perspective. Too many penalties and sloppy play made for some lackluster performances, and now it’s time for fantasy football owners to make tough decisions on underperforming players.

Here are five players to drop entering Week 8.

Geno Smith, QB, New York Jets
Smith only should have been owned as a bye week replacement, especially with six teams on a bye in Week 8 and Week 9. But according to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport, it’s believed Smith has torn the ACL in his right knee. If true, Smith has no fantasy value for the rest of the season.

Orleans Darkwa, RB, New York Giants
The Giants have several running backs on their roster, with Rashad Jennings receiving the majority of the carries. Darkwa didn’t get a single carry or reception in the Giants’ win over the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday in London, and he ran for just 11 yards on seven carries in New York’s Week 5 loss to the Green Bay Packers. Fantasy owners need to drop Darkwa and replace him with a running back who has a larger workload.

Danny Amendola, WR, New England Patriots
If you kept Amendola hoping his production would increase when Patriots quarterback Tom Brady returned from suspension, it’s now time to drop him. The veteran wideout didn’t catch a single pass in New England’s Week 7 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers, and he hasn’t tallied more than two targets or two receptions since Week 2. There are too many weapons in the Patriots’ offense for Amendola to be fantasy relevant on a consistent basis.

Stefon Diggs, WR, Minnesota Vikings
Diggs was phenomenal over the first two weeks of the season, amassing 285 yards and a touchdown. But he’s tallied just 105 yards over the last three games, including two receptions for 18 yards in Sunday’s loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. Diggs also has only one touchdown on the season and none in his last three games. His lack of production, combined with Vikings quarterback Sam Bradford’s recent struggles, should force fantasy owners to look for better options at wide receiver.

Chris Boswell, K, Pittsburgh Steelers
Boswell missed two fields goals in Sunday’s loss to the New England Patriots, and he’s missed three of 10 field goals overall. Connecting on seven of 10 attempts isn’t horrible, but Boswell also hasn’t hit any field goals of 50 or more yards. There are better, higher-scoring kickers out there for fantasy owners.
