The Chicago Blackhawks and St. Louis Blues are throwing it back to the 1960s for this season’s Winter Classic.

Both teams unveiled their jerseys Wednesday for the Jan. 2 game at Busch Stadium, and both clubs went with throwbacks from a half-century ago. Chicago unveiled its jerseys on Twitter.

The Blues first revealed theirs with a press release.

?We are excited to unveil our jerseys for the 2017 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic,? Blues owner Tom Stillman said. ?In celebration of our 50th Anniversary, we are proud to pay tribute to our original uniforms and the franchise pioneers who first wore them in 1967.?

This is the first Winter Classic game for the hosts, but the Blackhawks are used to playing in the outdoor matchup. They’ve played in three Winter Classics, more than any other team in the NHL, as well as two Stadium Series games.
