INDIANAPOLIS — The San Francisco 49ers won a coin toss Friday over the Oakland Raiders at the NFL Scouting Combine to decide draft order. That means the New England Patriots lost.

The Patriots were involved in the coin toss because they acquired the 49ers’ second-round pick in the Jimmy Garoppolo trade.

The 49ers now will select ninth overall in the first round, while the Raiders will pick 10th. Because the Miami Dolphins, 49ers and Raiders’ draft picks will flip in each subsequent rounds, after all three teams finished 6-10, the Patriots will select 43rd overall in the second round. The Patriots would have selected 41st overall if the Raiders had won.

Here are the Patriots’ six selections in the 2018 NFL Draft:

First round, 31st overall
Second round,  43rd overall
Second round, 63rd overall
Third round, 95th overall
Fourth round, 136th overall
Sixth round, 205th overall
