The expectation around baseball is that the Boston Red Sox are not content solely with the addition of Hunter Renfroe.

In fact, they could be in on a number of free agents this offseason.

The free agency market has been slow to develop this offseason, leaving a number of top players available. Boston made a necessary signing with Renfroe, who should be able to feast offensively at Fenway Park.

But according to The New York Post's Joel Sherman, it is expected the Red Sox will continue making moves.

The biggest need for the Red Sox has been pitching, which sunk them with some regularity in 2020. Getting Eduardo Rodriguez back will help, as will the eventual return of Chris Sale. Add in someone like Jake Odorizzi to join Nathan Eovaldi and Nick Pivetta/Tanner Houck/etc., and the Red Sox could be cooking with gas.

Nothing is official until it's official, obviously, but this bodes well for Sox fans crossing their fingers that this is a busy offseason.
