Well rested following a four-day break, the Boston Bruins will hit the ice on Thursday night as strong -220 moneyline favorites over the Calgary Flames at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com.

It is the Bruins? first action since Monday?s trade deadline, when they added forwards Max Talbot and Brett Connolly. However, a hand injury suffered in practice earlier this week likely will sideline Connolly for the remainder of the regular season.

Boston enters Thursday?s Flames vs. Bruins betting matchup at TD Garden riding a two-game win streak, and they are 3-1 in their last four games, including an impressive 6-2 win over the Chicago Blackhawks, rewarding loyal bettors by claiming victory as +150 road underdogs at the sportsbooks in that contest.

The Bruins? recent success follows a six-game losing streak that threatened their position in the Eastern Conference playoff race. The Bruins maintain a two-point lead over Florida heading into Thursday’s action and have two games in hand over the Panthers.

Calgary will be looking for its third win in four outings, and the Flames have played stingy defense of late despite the absence of top defenseman Mark Giordano. The Flames have allowed just six goals in their last four games, with the total playing UNDER in each of the contests.

Meanwhile, the Boston Celtics will continue their pursuit of a playoff spot when they visit the New Orleans Pelicans on Friday night.

The Celtics rebounded for an 85-84 win over the Utah Jazz on Wednesday night after being crushed 110-79 by the Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday. Boston failed to cover in either contest, bringing to a halt to a four-game against-the-spread win streak.

Friday marks the second meeting of the season between the two clubs, with Boston claiming a 108-100 win in early January as 5.5-point home underdogs on the NBA betting lines. However, the Pelicans have dominated the Celtics in recent years, going 7-2 straight-up (5-4 ATS) in their last nine meetings but just 0-3 ATS in their last three.

The Boston College Eagles look to end their college basketball regular season with a third straight SU win when they face the Wake Forest Demon Deacons on Saturday.

The Eagles stopped a nine-game SU losing skid with recent decisive wins over North Carolina State and Virginia Tech, extending their current ATS win streak to three.

Boston College faces a Deacons squad that is 1-4 SU in their last five, including embarrassing losses at the hands of Virginia and Duke, averaging just over 51 points per game in their last three outings.
