Luis Suarez and Barcelona have come to the end of their road.
The Uruguayan striker is set to join Atletico Madrid this week in a transfer, ending his Barcelona tenure after six-plus years. However, this is no ordinary move. Suarez’s largely successful time at Barcelona was a “dream come true” and the culmination of his life’s work on the field. Perhaps that’s why he shed tears upon saying “goodbye” to his teammates and the club.
