Horses of a different color will roll into Gillette Stadium on Sunday.
The New England Patriots will square off against the Indianapolis Colts — not the Denver Broncos — in the AFC Championship Game after IndianapolisĀ upset DenverĀ in the AFC divisional round.
Many expected a Patriots-Broncos rematch of last season’s AFC Championship Game, but that doesn’t mean the Colts should be taken lightly. The AFC’s No. 4 seed enters Sunday’s contest having won seven of its last eight contests, capped by playoff wins over the Cincinnati Bengals and Broncos.
The top-seeded Patriots handled the Colts easily in Week 11, but this is the NFL playoffs, and Andrew Luck’s squad could prove harder to tame this time around.
