As the 1-1 New England Patriots head into their Week 3 matchup against the Oakland Raiders, the team’s offensive performance is raising questions.
In the season-opening loss to the Miami Dolphins, Tom Brady completed just 2 of 18 passes on attempts of 15 yards or more. A rough outing in Week 2 erased excuses of that simply being an “off day.”
The Patriots head into Week 3 ranked 27th in the NFL in total yards, and Brady was just 14-of-21 passing for 149 yards against the Minnesota Vikings. While New England seems to have nothing to worry about on defense, the current offensive woes have left people wondering if there’s reason for concern as the season progresses.
NESN.com Patriots beat writer Doug Kyed and Boston.com’s Erik Frenz discuss the state of New England’s offense on this week’s edition of the Patriots Podcast.
