The Peabody (Mass.) Little League team kept the big bats of Chula Vista (Calif.) at bay for the first five innings on Sunday night. Chula Vista, however, opened up a 12-run sixth inning to earn a 14-0 win and ensure that Peabody cannot advance from the tournament's first round.

Though Peabody won't move on, the team will still play its final game on Tuesday at 4 p.m. against the team from Russellville, Ky.

Matt Hosman pitched 4 2/3 innings before being forced out of the game due to pitch count. He gave up just one earned run to a Chula Vista team that had scored 15 runs on seven home runs the night before. The bullpen then surrendered 12 earned runs in just 1 1/3 innings.

For Chula Vista, Andy Rios hit two homers in the sixth, while pitcher Luke Ramirez, who hit two homers on Saturday, allowed no runs in his four innings on the mound.

Sean McGrath registered a pair of hits, as Peabody only had six in the game.
