Tampa Bay Bucaneers receiver Mike Williams looks like Andre Johnson on the field and Braylon Edwards off the field, as the standout rookie was arrested on a DUI charge Friday, according to the St. Petersburg Times.
Police pulled over Williams after driving his black Cadillac 57 mph in a 45-mph zone while weaving through lanes at around 2:30 a.m. Williams' blood-alcohol levels only reached between .061-.065, below the legal limit of .08, but police say he failed a field sobriety test and had glassy eyes. Williams volunteered to take a urine test so police could discover if he had another substance in his body.
Records show that Williams was booked at Hillsborough County Jail at 4:44 a.m. and he was released on $500 bail at 8:04 a.m.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Williams' current status with the Bucs is undetermined, but one Bucs official told him that the rookie will travel with the team to San Francisco to play the 49ers Sunday.
Williams has 40 catches this season, including five touchdowns, and he leads all rookies with 627 yards, helping the Bucs reach a 6-3 mark.
