Yet another name has surfaced as a possible transfer target for Liverpool.
According to TalkSport, Celtic midfielder Ki Sung-Yeung is being pursued by Liverpool. The Reds are becoming increasingly pessimistic in the pursuit of their main target, Blackpool’s Charlie Adam, and have turned to Ki.
Ki, a 22-year-old South Korean, is a talented midfielder for Celtic and is thought to be in their long-term plans. However, it appears that it would be hard for the team to say no if Liverpool made a big transfer offer for Ki’s services.
Blackpool is reportedly seeking £10 million for Adam, which many clubs would be willing to give up. Knowing this, the Reds will likely put forth more of an effort in securing Ki than battling other teams for Adam.
