Did anyone think it would take long before Shaquille O'Neal said something controversial in his new profession as the Big Talking Head?
During the release of the 2011-12 NBA schedule (not an abridged version, the whole thing) on NBATV, Shaq referred to the Miami Heat as having a "Big 2," rather than a "Big 3," according to the AP.
"The Miami Heat, they've got a lot of great players, the 'Big 2.' They will be back," Shaq said while in his home in Louisiana.
"Dwyane Wade, LeBron James, you know, they're great players, they're probably the greatest backcourt ever assembled," O'Neal said. "And you know, they're going to get back. They're going to get back. They play well, they went through a lot, they put a lot of pressure on themselves. That's how they like it. And they will be back."
Of course, O'Neal's analysis and rebranding of the "Big Three" to the "Big Two" is centered around one conspicuous absence — that of forward Chris Bosh.
