Nothing displays a fan's loyalty like a tattoo. Now, Islanders fans will have the opportunity to get one right inside their home arena.
The Islanders have established a partnership with Tattoo Lou's, which will bring the body art station to 10 Islanders home games in the 2011-12 season, ESPN.com reports. It's also the first time that a professional sports team has created a partnership with a tattoo parlor.
For those fans that don't want to prove their loyalty with ink, the station will also provide Islanders-themed body jewelry and clothing.
"This is another victory for the tattoo industry. For a long time, tattoos were frowned upon, but now we've become more and more mainstream," president of Tattoo Lou's, Lou Rubino, said in a statement. "One of the main things I love about this partnership is the history the Islanders have. My dad opened his first shop in 1958. We're a part of Long Island history just like the Islanders."
