Boston University dropped out of the No. 1 spot in the USCHO.com top 20 rankings this week, and next week, they could be poised to fall behind rival Boston College.
The Terriers saw Ferris State take the top spot away from them on Monday hours before they saw the Eagles take their third consecutive Beanpot title. Depending on what happens this weekend, it's likely that BC will pass BU in the rankings, especially considering the fact that the Eagles actually received more first-place votes in this week's voting.
UMass-Lowell continues to climb the rankings as well. The River Hawks moved up one spot to No. 6, continuing their march toward the top after dropping to No. 14 in the rankings that were released on Jan. 16.
Merrimack rounds out the Hockey East teams in the top 10, checking in at No. 9 while the Maine Black Bears are knocking on the top 10's door after moving up a spot to No. 11.
