The Bruins have had an unfortunate run of injuries in the last month or so, and they have to add one more name to the list of those suffering.
Defenseman Johnny Boychuk sat out Monday's practice at Ristuccia Arena with symptoms of a concussion after he was the victim of a bone-jarring hit from Ottawa's Chris Neil on Saturday night.
The hit came in the third period, and Boychuk did not return to the ice following the hit. Bruins coach Claude Julien announced Monday that the blue liner was suffering "concussion symptoms" and is listed as day-to-day.
The Bruins recalled defenseman Andrew Bodnarchuk on Monday morning, and he'll likely get the nod on Tuesday night when the Senators come to Boston. The B's also called up Max Sauve from Providence, which could be in case Shawn Thornton isn't good to go after the forward missed another practice with an illness.
