So, how do you like being an NFL head coach, Joe Philbin?
The new Miami Dolphins head coach has had his work cut out for him since taking over. His first preseason as a head coach is being documented on HBO's Hard Knocks, and it's been a wild ride already.
Philbin and the Dolphins decided to cut ties with receiver Chad Johnson earlier this week after the veteran wide receiver was arrested over the weekend for his alleged role in a domestic dispute. Now, we're going to see how Philbin executed arguably his biggest decision up to this point, thanks to HBO.
ShermanReport.com reports that HBO plans on showing footage of Johnson's dismissal in this week's episode, set to air Tuesday night at 10 p.m. ET.
"There will be footage of Dolphins head coach Joe Philbin meeting in his office with Chad Johnson and releasing him from the team," the network stated in an email, according to ShermanReport.com.
Johnson played a prominent role in last week's episode, and one of the most insightful scenes came when Philbin pulled the receiver aside. After a profanity-laced introductory news conference, Philbin told Johnson that he needed to watch his mouth. Another scene caught Johnson jokingly telling team workers that he was going to get arrested on one of the team's days off earlier in camp.
That bold prediction can be seen below.
