Tyson Chandler had a lot of fashion-related pressure to live up to on Thursday.
To Chandler's right was an example of the New York Knicks' new jerseys, which blessedly eliminated black from the color scheme after 15 years of darkness. To his left was Walt Frazier, one of the finest dressers in the history of sports, though on this day "Clyde" dug deep into his floral collection for a shirt that will be seared into the eyeballs of all who saw it.
But the reigning NBA Defensive Player of the Year did not disappoint, rocking a fly wide-brimmed black fedora that was easily the smoothest piece of clothing on the stage. Even Frazier, who was known for ostentatious hats in his day, complimented Chandler's headwear.
