LaMarr Woodley Unhappy With Ray Rice’s Use of Steelers’ Terrible Towels, Gives Warning to Ravens Running Back

The result of Sunday’s game isn’t the only thing that has Steelers linebacker LaMarr Woodley a little ticked off. He apparently isn’t taking too kindly to Ray Rice‘s postgame antics either.

Woodley used Twitter to school everyone on proper Terrible Towel etiquette Monday night. According to the Pro Bowler, use of the famous Pittsburgh rally towel is reserved strictly for those who support the Black and Yellow — a revelation that came to light with the following tweet.

Woodley then logged on again Tuesday morning, and he dished out some further clarification to those who might have been a little thrown off by the random mini tirade. Evidently, Woodley’s displeasure stems from Rice’s use of a terrible towel following the Ravens’ 13-10 road win on Sunday.

You’ve got to love a LenDale White/T.J. Houshmandzadeh (or “Whosyourmama,” according to Woodley) name drop, especially if you’re a Steelers fan. After all, those two players’ reckless use of a Terrible Towel was coincidentally followed up by a choke job and plenty of Steelers success.

Houshmandzadeh wiped his cleats with a terrible towel in 2005, and White used his feet to deface one of the props again in 2008. The Steelers would eventually obtain Super Bowl glory those two seasons, while Houshmandzadeh and White would not.

Then again, neither of those Steelers teams was quarterbacked by Charlie Batch.
