Another one bites the dust from the Baltimore Ravens’ 2012 Super Bowl winning team.
It looks like the Ravens have cut Bernard Pollard based on the hard-hitting safety’s Twitter account. Pollard tweeted “Well Raven Nation it’s been fun. My time in Baltimore is done… Thank you!”
The Ravens have lost many key players from their Super Bowl XLVII squad. Linebackers Dannell Ellerbe and Paul Kruger already signed on with new teams this offseason, while Anquan Boldin was traded to the 49ers. Of course, the Ravens also lost linebacker Ray Lewis to retirement. Safety Ed Reed and cornerback Cary Williams are also expected to be gone.
Pollard is best known to New England fans for causing injuries to Tom Brady, Rob Gronkowski and Stevan Ridley. Pollard was also near Wes Welker for his torn ACL. It may be wise for the Patriots to sign Pollard just to stop all the pain.
