Steven Gerrard and Luis Suarez are among the top five most popular Barclays Premier League players when it comes to shirt sales.
Gerrard has moved up from third to second in the 2012-13 list of personalized shirt sales behind Manchester United striker Robin van Persie, while Suarez comes in fifth.
Here is the top 10:
1 — Robin van Persie – 25.4 percent
2 — Steven Gerrard – 8.2 percent
3 — Wanye Rooney – 6 percent
4 — Shinji Kagawa – 5.8 percent
5 — Luis Suarez – 3.6 per cent
6 — Eden Hazard – 3.1 percent
7 — Paul Scholes – 2.7 percent
8 — Fernando Torres - 2.5 percent
9 — Kun Aguero – 2.2 percent
10 — Lukas Podolski – 2.1 percent
Gerrard and Suarez’s place in the top five is evidence of Liverpool’s sizeable fan-base.
Interestingly, Gerrard comes out on top among shirts bought in the US, where he has a 10 percent share of all personalized Premier League shirt sales.
