“Selfie” was Oxford Dictionaries’ Word of the Year in 2013, but baseball’s Kalamazoo Growlers of the Northwoods League are honoring social media’s most selfish act this summer.
The Growlers are asking fans to upload selfies to Facebook, Twitter and Instagram by April 1, according to MLive.com. The team will then make a selfie collage uniform to be worn during a game against the Wisconsin Woodchucks on Thursday, July 24. The jerseys will be auctioned off after the game.
