Former Viking Letroy Guion Signs With Packers, Had Visited Patriots

The Green Bay Packers signed former Minnesota Vikings defensive end Letroy Guion, the team announced Monday.

Guion went to Green Bay after making his first free-agent visit to the New England Patriots.

The move comes just two days after the Packers made a splash by signing defensive end Julius Peppers from another NFC North rival, the Chicago Bears.

Guion, a fifth-round draft pick out of Florida State, had spent the last six years with the Vikings, starting 28 games over the last two seasons.
