Former Chicago Bears defensive tackle Henry Melton has agreed to terms with the Dallas Cowboys, according to multiple reports. The deal is for one year with an option, according to a source, via Todd Archer of ESPN Dallas.
Thank you chicago for the best 5 years of my life!.... I can't wait to begin the next chapter of my life... With a star on my helmet.—

The University of Texas product played the last five seasons with Chicago. Melton was given the franchise tag by the Bears last year, but only appeared in 3 games before suffering a torn left anterior cruciate ligament against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
In addition to the Cowboys, Melton also visited the St. Louis Rams, Minnesota Vikings and Seattle Seahawks before announcing his decision.
In Dallas, Melton will be reunited with defensive coordinator Rod Marinelli, who coached him for three years with the Bears.
