Minnesota Scores Last-Second Goal To Reach NCAA Hockey Final (Video)

Talk about down to the wire.

Minnesota took down North Dakota 2-1 in their Frozen Four matchup Thursday night in Philadelphia, advancing to the NCAA men’s hockey championship. The score was tied until the end of the third period — the very end of the third period — when Justin Holl scored for the Gophers in the last second of the game. The buzzer-beater was the senior defenseman’s first goal of the season.

Minnesota will play Union, which defeated Boston College in the earlier game, for the national title Saturday.
