New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter is a guy who’s pretty private, despite the fact that he plays shortstop for one of the most famous sports teams in the world. Yet even The Captain couldn’t escape the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.
Jeter got his on Tuesday, as he finally accepted the chilly challenge and had ice-cold water dumped all over him — right in the middle of the Yankees’ clubhouse.
Jeter’s clout is on full display with his challenges, too. He’s one of the few athletes in today’s sports world who could even think of calling out Michael Jordan. Of course, there’s a very obvious connection there, as Jeter has an endorsement deal with Jordan’s athletic gear brand.
