MLB: ALCS-Baltimore Orioles at Kansas City RoyalsThe American League Championship Series is getting a little shaken up.

Game 3 between the Kansas City Royals and Baltimore Orioles was postponed Monday due to rain in Kansas City and will be played Tuesday. Game 4 has been pushed to Wednesday, and a makeup game will take place on Thursday if necessary.

However, the scheduling changes might affect the starting rotation.

With Game 4 being pushed back a day, aces James Shields and Chris Tillman would be able to pitch on longer rest. Orioles manager Buck Showalter has already said Tillman would be a possibility for Wednesday’s matchup per HardballTalk, but there’s no update from Royals manager Ned Yost on Shields.

With the Royals up 2-0 in the series, Game 4 is a must-win game for the Orioles, who are looking to avoid a 3-0 deficit.

Still, neither of the starters put forth their best performances during Game 1 on Friday, so Showalter and Yost might want to give their aces the extra rest. Shields gave up four earned runs on 10 hits over five innings, while Tillman gave up five earned runs on seven hits — including a home run — over 4 1/3 innings.
